Len Fox
FOUNDER/ADVISOR
Len, the founder and CEO of Scarecrow Trading Inc, who’s strategies are used by Scarecrow Advisors, holds an MBA from Regis University in Denver Colorado and is also a U.S. Army Veteran. Prior to starting Scarecrow Trading, INC, he had a notable career with AT&T, holding various management positions. Len commercialized the algorithms that Scarecrow Advisor’s uses today in 2003, providing individuals and firms in the financial industry with remarkable service. His signal strategies are consistently found in the top 10% relative to performance over time, and he has also served as a market consultant, successfully applying the strategies in various portfolio configurations throughout the industry. He is an active member of the National Association of Active Investment Managers (NAAIM) and recognized as a NAAIM TREND SETTER by the organization.
Ben Fox
BUSINESS MANAGER/ADVISOR
Ben has been helping people break free from average in both life and finance since entering the financial industry in 2016. He does this by utilizing Scarecrow Trading’s strategies to help his clients grow a portion of their assets. He holds a Baccalaureate degree from Patten University in Oakland, California, and has his Series 65 designation. Ben is a veteran of the United States Air Force Reserve. He is also an active member of the National Association of Active Investment Managers (NAAIM), serving on multiple committees.
He lives in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, with his wife, son, and their dog. Ben enjoys playing strategic board and card games, cheering for his favorite sports teams, the Denver Broncos and Minnesota Twins, and competing with people worldwide on his Peloton.
Spencer Walls
Advisor
Our newest advisor has a passion for financial education and helping young people reach financial freedom. Raised in a small town in Iowa, Spencer developed an early appreciation for the simple joys of life. He learned the value of hard work and smart financial choices from his parents, who instilled in him the importance of both saving for the future and enjoying the present moment. Spencer has recently achieved a significant milestone by obtaining his Series 65 certification and is eager to learn more about the industry.
If Spencer isn’t working, you might find him in his backyard tending to his garden. Spencer also embraces the thrill of adventure through snowboarding, hiking, and kayaking as a way of finding inspiration and balance in life.
Callie Fox
Client Service Administrator
Callie is a Customer Service Associate (CSA) with Scarecrow Advisors. Her responsibilities include managing customer-facing functions, overseeing back-office operations, and directing data entry processes.
Currently based in Centennial, Colorado, Callie spends her weekends engaging in personal hobbies like crafting or kayaking.
Sara Flint
Client Service Administrator
Sara is a Customer Service Associate (CSA) with Scarecrow Advisors, where she oversees numerous customer-facing responsibilities. In addition, Sara also manages the overall office administrative functions of the corporation.
Sara is a dedicated wife and mother of three who loves the outdoors. In her free time, she enjoys camping and kayaking with her family in North Carolina, where she’s based.
Julia Fox
MARKETING MANAGER
Julia is the Marketing Manager at Scarecrow Advisors. With an expertise in SEO, Advertising, and Client Relations. Julia particularly loves working directly with clients. She is an alumnus of St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor’s in Arts, Communication, focusing on Leadership and Organizational Communication, complemented with a minor in Marketing.
Currently situated in Westminster, Colorado, Julia finds solace in hiking, practicing yoga, and volunteering or fostering with the Rocky Mountain House Rabbit Rescue.
Max Fox
Project Manager
Max is the Project Manager at Scarecrow Advisors, LLC, with expertise in Agile Management, Communication Streamlining, and Project Tracking. He holds a certification in Project Management from Coursera and is currently studying for his Series 65 designation.
Max resides in St. Louis Park, MN, with his cat, Mars. Outside of work, he keeps himself active by running, playing pickleball, collecting sports cards, and being an Minnesota Wild fan.
Kirk Hemingway
Director of Operations/Advisor
Kirk Hemingway is our team’s Director of Operations. He supports the company’s process development and project management efforts. He brings us over 30 years of Senior Level Operations leadership experience from the Telecom, Satellite TV, and consumer products manufacturing industries. In addition to holding a BS:BA from Colorado State University and an MBA from Regis University, Kirk has obtained several certifications in supply chain and project management. With a recent achievement of earning a Series 65 certification, Kirk joins as Scarecrow Advisor’s latest advisor.
A Colorado native, Kirk enjoys outdoor activities, attending sporting events and providing emergency response as a nationally registered emergency medical technician. Together with his wife Tammy, he leads a rural lifestyle outside of Denver.
Greg Syler
COMPLIANCE CONSULTANT
Greg Syler is a Compliance Consultant with over 25 years of experience in the Financial Services industry. He has worked for large broker dealers and Registered Investment Advisors and has held a variety of positions including Operations Manager, Compliance Manager and Chief Compliance Officer. He earned his Bachelor of Science degrees in both Finance and Banking from San Francisco State University.
Greg resides in the city of his dreams San Francisco, California with his lovely wife Monica and two children. He is active in the outdoors and enjoys, camping, biking and skiing. Greg is also a strong member of his community and volunteers as a youth basketball and baseball coach. Additionally he is a founding member of a playground group that rebuilds and revitalizes playgrounds in San Francisco
